TAYLOR MARDIS KATZ

Taylor has been using words to create connections since a young age. After receiving a BA in English from Connecticut College and a Masters in Creative Writing from San Diego State, Taylor served as a Sales & Marketing Manager for a small dairy supply company before segueing into diversified marketing and copywriting work.

Past and current marketing clients include mental health professionals, artists, farmers, non-profits, tradespeople, and a variety of authors. Taylor's specialties include copywriting and copyediting, social media and content marketing, email marketing, community outreach, and streamlined website design.

​Taylor is also available to write personalized poems for all occasions, as well as wedding toasts, wedding hashtags, and wedding ceremonies.

MISHA M. JOHNSON

Since receiving his BA in Environmental Studies, Misha has gone on to manage a variety of farm-based businesses, serving as a the head designer for all of them. A photographer and environmentalist, Misha's designs offer an approachable and appealing aesthetic representation of your business to the world.

​Misha is also available to hire as a photographer for websites, businesses, social media content, and family portraits.

​His specialties include landscape photography, portraits, website design, and high-impact promotional materials.

When not providing copywriting and marketing services, Taylor and Misha run Free Verse Farm & Apothecary.  As small business owners ourselves, we understand the need for excellent copy, a consistent social media presence, streamlined and attractive marketing materials, and a functional and good-looking website.

This marketing work began while Taylor was working in sales at a local dairy supply company. Although she was not an excellent salesperson, she loved the marketing side of the work. A dairy farmer who had become a friend asked her for some help with making a new website, some t-shirts, and organizing some events, and that was the beginning of what she now refers to as "marketing," but often feels largely like simply using her love of language to tell the world about what some awesome people are doing on their land and in their businesses.

At Free Verse Studio, we are self-taught, open-minded, always learning, and excited by the prospect of helping to plant the seeds of a more inspired, land-based, healthier world. We love to collaborate and are grateful for our ever-widening network of growers, makers, and artistic professionals that we work with, learn alongside, and build community with.
